Women’s equality is high on our mind for the women in our community. Equality helps us achieve our mission of engaging, educating, enriching and empowering women of all generations in the region.

We’re excited to attend the 24th Annual Women’s Equity Luncheon, with other awesome local organizations striving to making a difference for women locally and nationally.

The luncheon is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Sarasota County (LWV). Join us on Saturday, August 25th, 11am-1:30 pm at the Carlisle Inn, 3727 Bahia Vista St., Sarasota. Lunch will be served at noon. The speaker will be Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino.

Luncheon tickets are $40 per person. If you are interested in attending, please check back here or on our website for how to make reservations.

A backstory of the day…

Women’s Equality Day commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting the right to vote to women. The amendment was first introduced in 1878. In 1971, the U.S. Congress designated August 26 as Women’s Equality Day.
