And that’s a wrap! Friday, November 30th, our 7th annual Deja Blues event was held in The Backyard behind O’Bricks Irish Pub & Martini Bar on Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton. The weather was great, the food from O’Bricks was fantastic and the live entertainment featuring award-winning Canadian blues artist, Shakura S’Aida, was nothing short of phenomenal.

Swiss-German, French and English speaking Shakura is a five time Maple Blues Award Nominee and has performed all around the country. She truly blew us away. Our guests also enjoyed raffle items, a silent auction, an open bar, dance area and a silks performance by Caitlyn Haley.

Women’s Resource Center President and CEO, Ashley Brown, and Co-Chairs Dean Hastings and John Seeley were thrilled with the more than 335 people in attendance to support our cause.
