Denise Whalin:

Denise has a passion for helping others find practical solutions for many of life’s personal and professional challenges.  This passion fueled her pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.   Denise has worked in retail sales, marketing, health care and the legal field.  She has found that no matter the life situation or career choice; the mastery of soft skills, particularly communication skills, has a profound impact on a person’s success and happiness.

In her role as Chief Solutions Officer for Rise to the Challenge Consulting, Denise develops and delivers training programs and workshops to businesses and groups interested in improving organizational processes and procedures as well as practical skills and essential soft skills.  In addition, she provides supportive coaching to individuals and teams who desire assistance in enhancing emotional intelligence and soft skills.

For this mother of twin 30 year old daughters, teaching women some practical, easy to use skills for improved happiness and self-confidence strikes close to home.  In an effort to help women who are struggling with life’s challenges, she co-facilitates a program called “You are Worthy”, with Christina Florand, at the Women’s Resource Center in Venice.

When not working, Denise enjoys planning vacations with her husband of 32 years, reading, gardening, boating, yoga and socializing with friends and family.
