Mary “Bambi” Forristall is the second of the amazing WRC 25 Wonder Women brought to you by the Bradenton Herald.
Mary Forristall is President of Forristall Enterprises, Inc. a Manatee county-based demolition company. Together with her Stephen, her husband of 35 years, she has built Forristall Enterprises, Inc. into a successful and thriving company that employs more than 40 people and is celebrating its 25th year in business this year. Forristall Enterprises was awarded the Manatee Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award in 2002. Mary holds a State of Florida General Contractor’s License, has a LEED AP Accreditation and is a Florida State Certified Minority Business Owner as well as an FDOT DBE business.
In addition to running a successful company Mary gives back an enormous amount to the community and is the current Chair for the Gulf Coast Builder’s Exchange, (the first Woman Chair in the organization’s 64 year history) and she serves on the board at Meals on Wheels Plus of Manatee and the YMCA of Manatee Board.
A proud mother and Grandmother, in her spare time Mary also teaches aerobics and spin classes at the YMCA, Lakewood Ranch.
Mary says, “I think that as we move forward in life, it is important to build relationships and ties with the organizations that comprise our communities. These organizations do not function alone, or in a silo; together they are the threads of the fabric of our community. By involving myself into those very fibers, I, in essence become part of that fabric.” We are lucky to have Mary in our community!
