This workshop aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the divorce process. It will be divided into 6 sessions, each dedicated to a specific topic. The sessions will delve into the emotional aspects of divorce, the laws governing divorce in Florida, ways to assert your financial rights, dealing with children during divorce, house and forensic accounting and a new question and answer session with the facilitators.
Emotions – The Emotions of divorce include why communication can break down, how emotions can negatively impact communication and decision-making, and ways you can change the dynamics of your divorce for yourself, your children, and your soon-to-be-ex.
Finance – Financial decisions need to be made during divorce, and you need to know how to claim your financial power.
Legal – Florida Divorce Law and what must be decided in divorce including the parenting plan, equitable distribution of debts and assets, alimony, and child support.
Mortgage – Decisions to be made around communal property such as a house.
Parenting – Florida law regarding parenting plans and child support. In addition, it will explore how to tell the children about divorce, best co-parenting practices, and co-parenting communication skills to create a conflict-free zone for the children.
Question & Answer Session (NEW) – We have scheduled an additional workshop featuring a Q&A session with all the facilitators. This session will address any questions participants still have, including those not covered or left unanswered during the previous workshops.
