Every year, the Women’s Resource Center awards over 70 Scholarships to individuals pursuing higher education in our region.  Our mission is to recognize, reward, and encourage students to reach their goals in preparation for employment, self-sufficiency, and advancement in the community.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

For all applicants:

1. You identify as a female, 21 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. You must be a year-round resident of Manatee or Sarasota County.
3. You must be accepted into a qualified program. Eligibility includes vocational, two or four-year institutions pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or certification program.
4. WRC employees and their family members are not eligible for scholarships.

For applicants currently enrolled and attending school:

1. You are required to include a copy of your transcript from the previous semester. You can upload this document within this form, the 2023 WRC Scholarship Application form.
2. You will be required to establish financial need. Within this form, you will be required to provide information identifying your financial need and any relevant documentation.

For applicants anticipating attending school:

1. You are required to submit an official acceptance letter from your educational institution. You can upload this document within this form, the 2023 WRC Scholarship Application form.
