The annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch was at the home of Amanda and John Horne, owners of Anna Maria Oyster Bar – generous Corporate Partners of the Women’s Resource Center, in the morning of February 16. Ashley spoke and thanked our volunteers – everyone from peer mentors, program facilitators, and front desk volunteers from all three Centers enjoyed a wonderful brunch prepared by our Women’s Resource Center staff.
The Sponsor/Donor Appreciation event was held later that evening, also at the home of Amanda and John Horne. It was a wonderful celebration of the successful completion of our regional merger, programming and counseling expansions, new staff additions, and many other milestones reached in 2017. We were treated to fabulous bites prepared by John himself and served by a gracious team Anna Maria Oyster Bar staff members.
When it comes to genuine hospitality, John and Amanda Horne of Anna Maria Oyster Bar, are no strangers of setting an example. For the past several years, they have granted us access to their beautiful waterside home and treated us to an exceptional time. Our milestones this past year could not have been achieved without the help and generosity of volunteers, sponsors, and donors. All of which make these two events so special each year.
