Gentle yoga infused with chi- enhancing practices to maintain or enhance natural vitality. This inclusive class accommodates students with physical limits (using chair as optional prop). There is no “on the floor ‘mat work.'” Program will include meditation, self massage and breathing exercises.

Sarasota, Thursdays, 9-10:30am. Fee: $5

This 8-week class teaches the basics of mindfulness meditation, and includes learning practical coping skills for dealing with stressful situations, achieving deep states of physical and mental relaxation, and developing awareness of the connection between emotional and physical tension. Participants will learn to take responsbility for actively improving their health, develop new attitudes toward change, and move toward greater balance and ease in their lives. Each class includes time for meditation practice, discussion and questions.

You won’t want to miss the WRC Author Series, where we’ll explore topics important to women alongside the authors who wrote impactful books on subjects like preparing for retirement, health, and gaining confidence. Peg Beck will elaborate on her book which she co-authored The Female Factor: A Confidence Guide for Women.
